Upon completion of the coursework, an optional eighty-hour internship is coordinated with area businesses.

Prior to the internship, the students are screened and assessed for pre-employment and work maturity skills.

Glass City Academy Life Skill Classes help to prepare them for this unique opportunity.

Internship Initiative Highlights:

• Pre-employment/work maturity skills are taught prior to internship placement.
• During the internship, the businesses provide the students 80 hours of related work experience and applied computer usage, if possible.
• Throughout the internships, the coordinators monitor the students to ensure success.
• All internships are contingent upon classroom performance.
• Compensation in the form of a stipend is provided for the students through Glass City Academy.
